Crime Of Opportunity

(Murali Coryell)
August 19, 2014

It was a crime of opportunity. I didn't think I would get busted. It was a time when I could not foresee I'd violate all I had trusted.

It had been such a long time since we had that spark. I was driving past a night club that opens up after dark. I decided to stop in just to see what's going on. I met a young lady who kissed me. I stole her love and fled the scene.

It was a crime of opportunity. I didn't think I would get busted. It was a time when I could not foresee I'd violate all I had trusted.

This is not a case of premeditation. Although I acted out of my own frustration. A first time offender deserves no more than probation. I know I am guilty please go easy on me.

Making love to a stranger in the middle of the afternoon. Her boyfriend just now left but he'll be back soon. We'll both try to conceal it but criminals always make mistakes. Human nature got the best of me. I was blind but anyone can clearly see.
